2. Using this website
- This website is for general information about our vehicles and services. You may use it for lawful purposes only.
- We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors.
- Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
3. Vehicle listings & prices
- We take care to describe every vehicle accurately. Specifications, mileage, photographs and equipment are given in good faith, but errors can occur. Please confirm any detail that matters to you before you buy.
- All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Unless clearly stated otherwise, prices for commercial vehicles are shown excluding VAT, which will be added at the current UK rate where applicable.
- Vehicles are subject to prior sale. A listing on this website is an invitation to make an enquiry, not a binding offer.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing or description errors before a contract is formed.
4. Buying a vehicle
- A contract of sale is formed only when we confirm your order in writing (for example by an invoice or order confirmation) and we receive the agreed deposit or payment.
- We strongly recommend that you inspect and test-drive any vehicle at our Derby yard before you buy, or arrange an independent inspection.
- Ownership of the vehicle passes to you only once we receive payment in full in cleared funds. Risk passes on collection or delivery.
5. Deposits & payment
- A deposit may be required to reserve a vehicle. We will confirm the amount and terms in writing before you pay.
- The balance must be paid in cleared funds before collection, delivery or export, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- We accept bank transfer. For your security, always confirm our bank details by telephone on +44 1332 206153 before making a payment. We will never change our bank details by email.
- We may carry out identity and anti-money-laundering checks, as required by UK law.
6. Collection, delivery & export
- Vehicles can be collected from our Derby yard, or delivered anywhere in the UK by arrangement. Delivery dates are estimates.
- For export orders, the buyer is responsible for import duties, taxes, registration and compliance with the laws of the destination country, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
7. Part exchange
Part-exchange valuations depend on inspection of the vehicle and on the accuracy of the information you provide. You must have legal title to the vehicle and disclose any outstanding finance. The valuation may change if the vehicle's condition differs from its description when it is handed over.
8. Finance & warranty
Finance and warranty products are provided by third-party providers and are subject to their own terms, status and approval. We may introduce you to these providers but do not give financial advice. Any warranty we provide will be set out in writing at the point of sale.
9. Your legal rights
Most of our vehicles are sold to businesses. If you buy as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If you buy in the course of business, your statutory rights are limited to the extent permitted by law. For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
10. Limitation of liability
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.
- For business customers, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, downtime or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the price paid for the vehicle.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, photographs, logos and design, belongs to BRIT Commercials Ltd or its licensors. You must not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies at the time you use the website or place your order.
